Building Inspection

Buying a home is probably the largest single investment that many people will make therefore it is essential to know what you are buying.

A pre-purchase building inspection is a thorough, room-by-room, element-by-element visual inspection of the dwelling.

The inspection covers major defects, structural issues, incomplete building works, additions and improvements, serious safety hazards, major and minor defects to non structural elements and a overall condition of the dwelling. It also includes the immediate surrounds in accordance with Australian Standards A.S 4349.1.

The building consultant’s service to the purchaser is primarily one of education. The aim of the building consultant is to provide the purchaser with a better understanding of the physical condition of the property to enable them to make a well-informed decision. After the inspection is completed, a written report is prepared, documenting the results of the inspection.
